I
joined Victory Fitness Center in February 2008 once I hit a number I had
never before seen on the scale. My doctor put me on blood pressure
medication and told me I was at serious risk of diabetes. That conversation
was a true wake up call. The thought of joining a gym was an intimidating
one, but once I walked in to Victory, I discovered a welcoming environment
and great staff!
After several months of working out sporadically and not making much
progress, I decided to get serious and take things to another level. I
started working with Dawn in November 2008, doing a combination of personal
and group training. Dawn is great; she has become not only my trainer, but
also my therapist, cheerleader and friend. She’s tough when I need her to
be tough, pulls out the “rah-rah” when I need some encouragement, and
willingly holds the punching bag when I bring out the gloves.
I
have never worked so hard in my life, but am definitely seeing results!
Dawn customizes my workouts and reviews my online meal plan, and I am
currently halfway to my goal. When I get off track, she yanks me back and
pushes me to the treadmill. I have no idea how she keeps her great attitude
even when I’m grumpy and would rather be anywhere but the gym, but she
always has a smile on her face and never fails to make me laugh.
Since working out with Dawn,
I have not only lost weight and built muscle,
but I have also impressed my doctor (which is hard to do). I am already off
the blood pressure medication and have dramatically lowered my risk for
diabetes. I look forward to working with Dawn in the next few months, to
get the rest of the way to my 40 pound weight loss goal. There is no way I
could have ever come this far on my own. Thanks, Dawn!

joined Victory Fitness In January of 2009 for the second time with one goal
in mind,
I wanted my body back.
I had a baby three years prior and had completely
however, unintentionally lost the concept of staying in any kind of decent
shape. I started working out on my own having no clue other than cardio what
I needed to be doing to reach my goal. I started to ask questions
after becoming frustrated with seeing absolutely no results. The
answers I received from the staff were helpful and I noticed a bit of a
change but still not happy with my progress, I decided that personal
training was the answer I was looking for. I started out buying
3 sessions with Dawn and was completely sold on the idea. She was so
knowledgeable on fitness and nutrition and knew exactly how far to push me
even through all of the temper tantrums. Once I finished my 3 sessions
I was hooked and Dawn had suggested I join her group training one night a
week and continue on. Since Valentine’s Day 2009 I have lost
over 40pds and over 29 of that has been fat!!! My body didn’t look or
feel this way even in high school!
Dawn has helped me
changed my life I have made fitness and nutrition a huge part of my daily
routine, I look and feel like a different person.
